Not sure if you need to buy any yo-yo oil? Wondering what yoyo lube is?

Yo-yo oil is used in yoyos to lubricate the yoyo bearing or transaxle. Yo-yos are normally made and sold with lubricated parts so you do not usually have to buy yoyo oil for a new yo-yo. However, as a yo-yo is played it is a good practice to lightly oil the bearing from time to time. Note that if you clean the yo-yo bearing it will remove any exisitng lubrication and it is then essential to relubricate the bearing. Do not run a bearing 'dry'!

Thin oil is faster for less responsive play - ideal for string tricks. Thick oil is for more responsive play such as looping.

Do not contaminate the response system of any yo-yo with any lube or oil. Doing so can result in loss of response, swelling or loosening of pads or loss of adhesion of pads.
