Younkee Nirvana Yo-Yo
The Younkee Nirvana Yo-Yo. Younkee have improved the quality of their yo-yos in the new Waryo S and the Nirvana. Both are nicely made well balanced yo-yos featuring size C concave bearings (de-shielded), recessed silicone o rings, good quality anodised finishes with laser engraved designs.

The Nirvana is a full-sized unresponsive metal yo-yo supplied with very good quality metal hubstacks and hub spikes. Two axles are supplied: by fitting the long axle the yo-yo can be played without the hubstacks. By fitting the short axle, the hubstacks or spikes can be fitted as shown in the photographs.

Response: Younkee silicone o rings. Nice deep recess which could be siliconed. The O rings are the same standard size as the YoyoJam O rings and the Born Crucial Blue O rings.

Other: supplied with a bag, one string, long axle, short axle, 2 metal hub stacks, 2 metal hub spikes. Note the hubstacks and spikes are supplied with all necessary parts (bearings, small o rings, trucks) for self-assembly.

Note: these are not toys. Not for sale to children. These yo-yos are unresponsive and will require 'binding' skills to play. Not for suitable for beginners!

Note from Pete: the bearings on these yoyos are reasonable quality but performance might be improved fitting with a better specification size C concave or flat bearing such as one of the Vivace range of bearings. The Nirvana plays nicely with minimal vibe or wobble. The hub stacks and spikes are quite easy to fit. Our tip when fitting the hubstacks is to use two pens or pencils to gently push the small rubber o rings onto the trucks – it is fiddly but not too difficult. This yoyo is slightly responsive when new. As with most new yoyos, both the bearing and the pads will need wearing in through play. As these wear in, the yo-yo will become less responsive. You can speed this process up by cleaning the bearing and using thin lube. The pads cannot be artificially worn in, this has to come through play.
